Our mission to help educate and support every patient and family who is preparing for amputation. Our surgeons and specially trained amputee nursing and care team will remain with patients and families before and after surgery, during recovery and throughout rehabilitation.
Pain can make it hard for you to concentrate on anything except the pain. It can make it hard for you to sleep and hard for you to function when you are awake. It can be depressing, frustrating and overwhelming. However, it is possible to reduce pain and to learn to cope effectively with the pain that remains.
Your prosthesis is an important new part of your body. It is a sophisticated tool, designed to enhance your independence, activity level, and mobility.
